To really know someone, you need to know their guiding philosophy.
My personal philosophy comes from one of my favorite quotes written by geo-political analyst and financial author Richard J. Maybury:
“Beware of anyone who tells you a topic is above you or better left to experts. Many people are twice as smart as they think they are but they’ve been intimidated into believing some topics are above them. You can understand almost anything if it is explained well.”
The key to understanding profound or complex ideas is to break them down into their most basic components.
Being able to accomplish this not only make you a master communicator, but it also forces you to understand the basic building blocks of ideas themselves. In other words, it teaches you to think!
I have used this basic understanding of the world to approach topics across a wide array of subjects: finance, philosophy, politics, and technology.
At a relatively young age, I’ve already begun a successful career working for many of the top technology firms in America. I’ve worked with political pundits and media celebrities. I’ve built software businesses and ran political campaigns. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.
