The Apostle Paul Said “This Is The Rule I Lay Down…”

The Bible. God’s word –  but others wrote it.

The Apostle Paul. Murderer. Blinded by God. Healed through Christ.

Paul chased shadows early in life, thinking God sent him. Mistakenly. So he carved a rule for every Christian to follow. Simple. Explicit. Hard to miss, but still ignored.

A Rule for Christians

Did God call you? Don’t get sidetracked. Stillness beats change – especially when you’re already winning:

“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.”

Don’t monkeybranch when you’ve found what you’re looking for:

“Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.”

Your ways led you to enlightenment? Then stop. You’re already ahead. Keep it that way.

Truth is Valuable

Paul found truth. Kept it. Christ said it’s a pearl. Worth everything. Hang on to it.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

Jesus meant what he didn’t say outright. So Paul clarified. Stay the way you are after the light enters you so you can stay bright.

Nothing else matters at that point. No need for change. Mission accomplished.

Different words. Same story.

When you’ve found the light don’t try to change too much after. You’re already lit.

Stillness beats blindness. Paul knew from experience.
